— Biography
Patrick Corrigan (b. 1978) is an artist living and working between California and Japan. His work examines themes of belonging, connection, and purpose, and how these fundamental aspects of human experience are reflected in both individuals and the landscape. His photographs have been exhibited at the de Young Museum, Leica Gallery San Francisco, Marshall Gallery, the Los Angeles Center of Photography, and the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel, California. He was selected for Review Santa Fe in 2023 and has received several honorable mentions in juried exhibitions. His work is held in public and private collections. Corrigan received his BFA in Photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2001.
Patrick Corrigan（1978年生まれ） は、カリフォルニアと日本を拠点に活動するアーティストです。作品では、帰属意識、つながり、目的といった、人間の根源的な経験に関わるテーマを探求し、それらが個人や風景の中にどのように表れるのかを見つめています。これまでに、de Young Museum、Leica Gallery San Francisco、Marshall Gallery、Los Angeles Center of Photography、カリフォルニア州カーメルのCenter for Photographic Artなどで作品を発表しています。2023年にはReview Santa Feに選出され、これまで複数の公募展でHonorable Mentionを受賞しています。作品は公共および個人コレクションに収蔵されています。2001年、School of the Art Institute of Chicagoにて写真学のBFAを取得しました。
